Book Review: If You Were The Moon, My Love by Alina Loux

If You Were the Moon, My Love

by Alina Loux

Blackberry Book Tours May 23-26, Picture Book, 17 pages. Brand new book about to be released.

An ode to unconditional love, the gentle rhythm of If You Were the Moon, My Love is like getting wrapped in a big hug. The beautiful full-spread illustrations are as moving as the message: You are deeply loved… for “a day beyond forever.”

My Review

This is a delightful picture book that celebrates the unconditional love that a parent has for their child. Written in a charming rhyme scheme, the book takes readers on a journey where every corner of the world is explored in search of something to compare the child with. The result is a heartwarming portrayal of how the child is seen through the eyes of a loving parent.

The author’s use of imagery and metaphor is both clever and imaginative. Each comparison is beautifully crafted to showcase the child’s uniqueness and specialness. Whether the child is compared to a song or the moon, the author highlights how every aspect of the child is special and worthy of love.

Alina Loux’s illustrations are equally charming, with bright, bold colors and whimsical details that bring the text to life. Alina’s illustrations capture the spirit of the book perfectly, creating a visual feast that will captivate children and adults alike.

Overall, I found this book to be a wonderful celebration of the bond between parent and child. It is a book that will warm your heart and bring a smile to your face. It is perfect for children of all ages, and parents will find themselves reaching for it time and time again to remind their children of just how special and loved they are. Highly recommended.
