🧜Selena Flowers and the Cursed Ruby by Ella English🌊

Review by @whatselanireads

For some reason, this book made me feel incredibly nostalgic, and I still can’t quite comprehend why. Perhaps it’s because I loved reading this kind of book when I was in 4th to 8th grade. It brings back such hearty memories.

The plot keeps you engaged and excited. If you like friendship, fantasy and magical creatures, you’ll enjoy this book. Plus, Book 2 in the Merblood Saga comes out in two months!

So what’s this book about ??

Selena Flowers and the Cursed Ruby by Ella English is a great read for kids 12 and up. It’s the first book in the Merblood Saga. Selena moves from London to Madderly Bay, where she encounters a zombie mermaid named Faustina.

Faustina curses Selena’s mom, and Selena must find a magical ruby to save her. She dives into the dangerous merkingdom, facing scary creatures and tough challenges. The story is full of adventure and spooky moments.

I love fantasy books like this aimed at younger readers. I didn’t read fantasy books when I was younger so I’m trying to make up for it as an adult x
