Wait what???

EVERYONE HERE IS LYING

This domestic thriller is right up my alley. It follows the scandalous happenings in a small town neighborhood full of people with buried secrets. I was hooked from the very first page as the book dives right into the messy lives of the various residents. I love when a mystery novel provides insight into all the key players’ backgrounds and inner thoughts. It allows the reader to feel like an amateur sleuth piecing together the clues. I could hardly put this book down, and with so many interconnected characters, it kept me guessing who the culprit was until near the end. The twists truly surprised me.
The first nine-tenths of the story had me biting my nails with the exhilarating pacing and revelations. Unfortunately, the final tenth dragged on without ultimately resolving the main storyline. That unsatisfying ending was the only real downside given the thrilling build-up earlier in the book. However, if you enjoy mysteries set in suburban neighborhoods, I still recommend giving this one a read.
#QOTD What’s the last Netflix series you binged?
